Beyonce has made her first public appearance since the birth of her daughter last month by stepping out to support her husband Jay-Z as he performed in New York City.
The celebrity couple became first-time parents when the singer gave birth to baby Blue Ivy last month, and the “Single Ladies” singer has been out of the spotlight since the birth. However, she hit the red carpet at Manhattan’s Carnegie Hall last night to support her rapper husband as he launched his charity shows in aid of the United Way of New York City and his own Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.
During the event, the first of two concerts, Jay-Z took to the stage to perform with stars including Alicia Keys and Nas, while he also paid tribute to his daughter, telling the audience, “Put a hand in the air for Blue,” before launching into Glory, a track he wrote in honor of his daughter’s birth.
