Katy Perry has blasted the media for misrepresenting comments she made about Beyonce and Shakira‘s song “Beautiful Liar”.
The pop was discussing her plans to record with Rihanna during an appearance on a British radio show on this week. She told the BBC, “We’ve collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet. It’s one of those things that’s got so much build up that we have to deliver. I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves, not like (Shakira and Beyonce song) Beautiful Liar… But I definitely want to do something that is so iconic.”
Her comments were immediately picked up by the media and gossip bloggers accused Perry of taking a swipe at Beyonce and Shakira.
Now Katy Perry is mad because many reports failed to include the part of her quote in which she actually praised their track, saying, “I loved it.” The singer tweeted her outrage, writing. “Fuck all y’all dat thinks I dissed anyone, puhlez, u havin a slow news day or what?! Get a life…”
