Oh Don Draper, we love you so much. Even when you’re hawking a stupid new Facebook feature.
A new Mad Men Facebook video features the boys of Sterling Cooper presenting Facebook’s new Timeline feature. the scene is lifted straight from the show with the new Facebook feature taking place of a more period-appropriate product.
John Hamm, who plays advertising executive Don Draper in the show, is seen in the Mad Men Facebook video addressing a meeting of his colleagues and talking about the new Facebook gimmick.
He says, “This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine, it goes backwards, forwards, takes us to a place where we ache to go again,” as he presents a slide show of Draper’s imaginary Facebook profile. Watch for the “Shut up, Pete.” Classic Don Draper. And we love that Draper’s true identity, Dick Whitman is feature on his fake profile in the Mad Men Facebook video.
