It’s just been reported that Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger will host the May 19th season finale of Saturday Night Live.
While Jagger has appeared on the show twice with The Rolling Stones as the musical guest he has never fronted the show, so it will be interesting to see if he has the comedic chops to pull it off.
Interesting fact: footage from the Stones’ 1978 appearance on the show features on the band’s new concert DVD The Rolling Stones: Some Girls Live in Texas ’78.
There has been no official word yet on whether or not Mick Jagger will pull doubt duty as the musical guest for the finale. The news that Jagger will host SNL comes just as The Rolling Stones celebrate their 50th anniversary.
