Rihanna wants to put her music career on hold so she can concentrate on launching herself acting career, starting with her upcoming big-screen debut in Battleship opposite Alexander Skarsgard and Liam Neeson.
Rihanna is due to perform at a number of music festivals over the summer, including an appearance at Wireless in London’s Hyde Park in July, but she hopes to subsequently wind up her concert commitments so she can focus on making more films.
She tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, “There are some festivals here and there throughout the year but I want to do some more films before I go back on tour.”
Rihanna hasn’t decided on her next movie project, but she hopes to try out comedy before returning to action films. She adds, “I don’t want to stick to one thing yet. I want to see where I excel. I want to try things – comedy and probably another action film.”
